

Virginia Ann Gomez-Grier, age 65, formerly of Denver, Colorado, and most recently of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Virginia was born in Denver, Colorado, and was a beloved member of her family and community.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Grier, her parents, John and Mary Gomez, and four brothers and one sister. Virginia's legacy of love and devotion is carried on by her daughter, Desiree, and her surviving siblings, Tony Gomez and Darlene Janet Marchase, along with her 10 step-grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren who brought her great joy.
Virginia was known for her vibrant personality and sense of fashion, her love of Motown music and dancing, and her dedication to her work. She enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with the City and County of Denver, where she was cherished by her colleagues and made lasting friendships. Her family and friends remember her as someone who took great pride in her work and found joy in spending time with those she loved, especially her daughter and grandchildren.
Her spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will be forever cherished.
A visitation for Virginia will be held Wednesday April 30, 2025 from 5PM to 8PM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary, 8600 E Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231. The funeral service will be held on Thursday May 1st at 1PM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary, Ponderosa Room. Virginia will be laid to rest in Olinger Hampden Cemetery immediately following her funeral.
