Adrienne Schlake

Adrienne Selma Schlake (nee Kullberg), beloved by many, was called home by her Lord and Savior on June 29, 2025. Born January 2, 1938, in Chicago, Adrienne graduated from Lakeview High School and had careers at Stuart Warner and Weber Grill before serving for over 25 years as church secretary for St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Park Ridge, Illinois, where she touched countless lives. Adrienne’s joyful personality, her steadfast faith, her wide-ranging love of music from classical to classic rock, her zeal for sharing jokes, and her fondness for all things Swedish endeared her to multitudes of friends and acquaintances, and her love for each member of her enormous extended family knew no bounds! Adrienne took special pride and joy in her grandchildren, Marty (Pamela), Claudia (Michael), and Rowan, and her great-granddaughter, Claire, all of whom survive her. Adrienne is survived as well by her daughter, Jennifer Pasche (Paul) and son, Christopher Schlake (Paige), her cousin, Richard Kallstrom (Rota), eleven nieces and nephews, and hosts of cousins, grandnieces, grandnephews, in-laws, and others whom she adored. She was preceded to heaven by her parents, Hanna and John Kullberg, her husband, Thomas Schlake, her son, Theodore Schlake, and her cousin, Görel Nelson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Adrienne be made to either St. Andrews Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Lying-in-state Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 260 North Northwest Highway, Park Ridge, IL 60068. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Interment Mt.
