Allen Richard LaRue

Mr. La Rue was born November 17, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Farragut High School and Wright College.

He was the loving husband of Carol La Rue (nee Wilkinson) for 51 years; father of Kenneth (Carrie) La Rue of Kihei, HI, Michael J. La Rue of Edgewater, FL, and Karen La Rue of New Smyrna Beach, FL; brother of Julaine Koziol of Darien IL; Grandfather of Harmony Hansen, Beth Hansen, Brian Hansen, Mason Kamp, Emily Tellez, and Brandon Tellez. Great Grandfather to Makenna, Alexis, Addisyn, and Austin

Mr. La Rue was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Helen (Nee Carlson) La Rue; his first wife Elizabeth (nee Kessl) La Rue; son Richard La Rue, and daughters Sharen La Rue Thurow and Katherine La Rue.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in Korea in 1951 and 1952. After the service, he started a career in the plastic field in 1954 that lasted until his retirement in 1992. He worked in the plastic department of Joseph T. Ryerson & Son, the Polymer Corp., Hoffer Plastics, and Wise Plastic Technologies. Starting in sales, he rose to Executive Vice President at retirement

Mr. La Rue was a lifetime member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, receiving this honor in 2003 from Lodge #2378 in Englewood, FL

After years of retirement in Venice, FL and Brevard, NC, he returned to Huntley, IL to be closer to his family.
