

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Patrick C. O’Connor and John M. O’Connor, and her sisters, Margaret M. Albrecht, Theresa C. Healy (Robert), and Rosemary O’Connell (William).
Anna May is survived by her nieces and nephews, Eileen M. Ivers, Timothy P. Healy (Mary Clare), Robert M. Healy (Julie), Stephen J. Healy (Hollis), Michael F. O’Connell, Mary “Molly” Rhodes (Chris), Julia Lyons (Craig), and Christina O’Connell (Dan), as well as 18 grand-nieces and nephews.
Born in Chicago, Illinois on May 27th, 1932, Anna May grew up surrounded by a loving family. From an early age, she knew family and community were paramount, and this deepened into a lifelong ability to touch the lives of others. She was like a second mother to many especially her nieces and nephews in Chicago, Philadelphia and cousins in Ardgroom, Ireland. As time passed, Anna May split her time between Chicago and Philadelphia, maintaining close bonds with family in both cities. Her care for the wellbeing of others was evident in her work as a trainer for Illinois Bell and in the many years she spent volunteering in hospitals. She lived her Catholic faith in all aspects of her daily life. In her spare time, Anna May enjoyed traveling the globe, appreciating every new place she would go. She will be missed.
