Brian Farrell was taken from us far too early on February 1, 2021. Brian’s life journey took him from Wisconsin to Florida and back to Illinois. Everything Brian did, he did with enthusiasm – whether it be playing the saxophone in the high school marching band, using his natural talent to fix anything with a motor to helping a friend in need. Brian always brought a smile and a bundle of energy. In his work life, he succeeded as a Boat Mechanic, and a Dental Equipment Sales Technician, and other opportunities. He was happiest when he could surprise his audience and fix the impossible. His favorite place was outdoors, especially being on the water in his boat. He loved deeply - his family, the love of his life, Maddie, and his many, many friends. No one was a stranger to Brian. He battled addiction and, at times, won. His time in recovery brought him many new insights and he learned that finding balance would be a lifelong journey. He will be deeply missed by his parents, John and Lori Morig Farrell, his ‘big sister’ Melissa Farrell Gibson, his nephew Anson, his niece Ella, and the love of his life, Madeline (Maddie) Laborde Whom he shared his life with, in Chicago. He will also be missed by his devoted dogs Fran and Roxy. His family, consisting of many aunts, uncles and cousins will be forever touched by his presence and his passing. Predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Carlyle and Margaret Morig, his paternal grandparents, Donald and Ruth Farrell and a cousin, Kevin Mills. An outdoor gathering to remember Brian will take place later this year. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family by clicking the link below.
