On August 6, 1988, a precious baby girl was born in Carbondale, IL to Mark and Darlene Mortimer. She stole their hearts and wrapped Daddy around her tiny finger in the biggest way. Brittney, called "Britt" by family and friends, became their whole world.
Brittney grew up in Mount Prospect, IL and graduated from Prospect High School in 2006. She graduated from Marquette University in 2010, where she studied Psychology and Marketing. Most recently, she loved working at Dyson as a Marketing Manager in Chicago.
Brittney made the most of her 33 years traveling the world, building amazing friendships, and enjoying “snuggle time” with her sassy dog, Stella. She had an intense love for her family, a beautiful smile, infectious laugh and kind heart. She will be greatly missed, always remembered, and forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her parents, her brother Kyle, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many loving friends. Brittney passed away at Northwestern Hospital on February 20, 2022.
There will be a visitation at Oehler Funeral Home 2099 Miner St. Des Plaines, IL on February 27th from noon to 3pm, with a prayer service at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Brittney's name to the Autoimmune Association, The Buddy Foundation, or to Kay's Animal Shelter Inc.
