This was the last picture I took of Christine — on a summer night during our very first (and what is promised to become our annual) “Gurls Weekend” up North. She gave the impression of being quiet, but that was just an illusion. Christine had a laugh that filled the room and a gift for making you laugh with just a few words — always catching you off guard in the best way.

We had only just begun to get to know Christine and John from the neighborhood — a kind, loving, and fun couple who adored music, Halloween, and their dogs. They truly knew how to throw a party, and we loved them instantly.

We’re all still reeling from the tremendous loss of Christine, and she will be deeply missed. But in the short time we had, we shared so much — our first Gurls Weekend, countless parties, birthdays, laughter, and dancing. So many  wonderful memories!

How lucky we were to have been part of her life. She will be missed.  🩷

Christine, How do I encompass 32 years of friendship, with a chance matching as first ever college roommates 3 days after high school graduation? We grew up together, sharing late night paper writing, dorm fire drills, college parties, and nightly, half asleep talks. Through the years, we shared each of life's losses and celebrations whether it was graduations, weddings, kids, dating, family, Arizona beauty, pets, and talks about faith. One of my favorite memories was celebrating a freezing New Year's Eve on Chicago's Midway when I flew in on a whim that same week and all us girls dressed up without coats, promising to make the most of each and every year to come. You kept that promise - you visited Arizona nearly every year where you stayed in my home and we were roommates once again, reuniting with our college friends. We continued to share in more mature life adventures, but somehow still giggled like school girls.  I am forever grateful how you prioritized people with visits, cards, calls, texts, and gestures of thoughtfulness. My heart breaks for all who love you. Until we meet again my dear friend, know we are the lucky ones to have shared a lifetime of memories.

Such fun memories cruising everywhere in Tucson in the Lynx! Christine and other friends learned to drive a stick  shift in this car.

We loved watching Christine at half time with U of A marching band!

I am almost without words upon hearing of Christine's passing. She was more than a dear friend; she was like family. I will miss just hanging out laughing, telling stories, playing with the dogs, looking for UFOs and ghosts everywhere and just being around her wonderful, loving energy. 
So much love, strength and prayers to John and the rest of her family and friends.

Kathy and I, along with our sons John, Mark and Ryan, are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend and next-door neighbor, Christine.

Christine’s warmth, generosity, and friendship made our neighborhood feel like a true community. Whether it was a friendly wave over the fence or drinking one of John’s teeth cracking cold FuBrews in the back yard. We will miss her smile, and the friendship and kindness she showed every day.

We will always remember her great heart, her laughter, and the comfort she brought just by being there. Our homes were all richer to have her next door.

To John and Christine’s family, please know that you are in our hearts and prayers during this difficult time. May you find some peace in the love Christine shared and the many lives she touched.

Christine was such a shining light in so many lives! I’m so grateful that my family was able to have both Christine and John as neighbors for so many years. They have been incredibly kind to my brothers and I as we’ve grown up next door. Thank you, Christine ❤️
