

Curtis Edward Rowe passed away on Sunday, September 5 in Chicago, IL. Curtis was born on March 21, 1938 in Iaeger, West Virginia to Irvin and Polly (nee Blevins) Rowe. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He and his wife Virginia Nell grew up together in their small town. When Curtis was discharged from the Navy, he moved to Chicago but eventually returned home to West Virginia to marry his love, Virginia. They were married on November 23, 1962 and moved back to Chicago where they raised 2 children; Julia and Marsha.
Curtis graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology in 1974. He was a Furniture Finisher Foreman by trade and liked wood working, fishing, gardening and loved to be outdoors. He loved his family deeply and always made them a priority.
He was a wonderful Grandpa who loved to spoil his grandkids. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents Irvin and Polly, Brother George Rowe (Gail), Sister Charlotte Lilly (Donald). He is survived by his wife Virginia (nee Hughes) his daughters Julia Teresi (Keith) and Marsha Nacon (Marcus) and grandchildren Kiersten and Josie Teresi and Edward and Grace Nacon His brothers: "Aut" (Evelyn) Rowe. His sisters: Janice (Late Luke) Chandler, Linda (William) Farrell, as well as many loving cousins, nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. Des Plaines, IL 60016 from 3-8 PM. The funeral service will start at 11 AM on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Oehler Funeral Home followed by interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
