Donna J. Czech

A woman of quiet elegance and dedication, Donna lived her life with a passion that was unique to her. She enjoyed the moments of peace and serenity the most, whether she was reading and adding to her enormous book collection, playing board games, or traveling to her favorite destination of Ely, Minnesota. The moment to pause and absorb the beauty in the world brought a great level of comfort. Companionship with those closest to her provided a great sense of joy. These included special moments such as yearly trips to the Chicago Blackhawks convention and engaging in deep conversations. Described as being “blood-blind,” Donna formed close relationships with people whom she valued. All these qualities were emblematic of Donna’s level of dedication to everything she did in life. Her career lasted decades as a Field Inspector for the EPA, a White Sox or Blackhawks game were rarely missed, and she never wavered in her devotion to her family and the Lord. Donna’s impact on everyone that she knew will be felt for years to come.

Born February 22, 1959, in Chicago to the late Edward Czech and the late Audrey Czech (nee Kriss), Donna was the beloved sister of Ken (Sheila) Czech, the late Glen Czech, and Denise (John) Rotella. Adored aunt of Brian, Amy, and Steve Czech, and Joseph (Eleni) Czech and Stefanie (Tom) Carberry; and fond great aunt to many. A dedicated parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Buffalo Grove and well-known and loved at St. Emily Catholic Church in Mt. Prospect. Donna’s presence will be missed by all who knew her.
