Swanson (nee Swanson), 89, will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the services at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Highway/Route 14 at Rand Road), Des Plaines. Interment will be private. Born Jan. 8, 1921, in Chicago, she died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, in Park Ridge. She was the wife of the late Earl A. Swanson; mother of Jayne (John) Ostergren and Barbara (Daniel) O'Day; grandmother of Bryan Giers; and sister of Muriel (Ed) Stawicki and the late Bernice Sanders. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rainbow Hospice, 444 N. Northwest Highway, Suite 145, Park Ridge, IL 60068.
