

Edmund J. Fahey aged 62 died suddenly on March 16, 2021 at his home in Des Plaines, Illinois from complications related to diabetes. Born June 12, 1958 he is survived by his loving sons Sean, Seamus and Nolan, and their mother Noreen (Kennelly) Fahey, and was preceded
in death by his parents John Gerard Fahey (1919-2001) and Margaret (Heneghan) Fahey (1921-2003). He was a devoted brother to John (Gail), Michael (Karen), Thomas (Bridget) and James (Margaret Hupp) and was a loving uncle to Annie, Ava, Emmett, Cara, Christopher, Claire, Clare, Jack, Jimmy, Maddie, Jeffrey, Kate, Kathy, Marty, Meghan, Mikaela, Patrick, Reilly, Ryan Fahey and Ryan Kennelly and Therese. He was also blessed with numerous aunts, uncles and first cousins in the US, Ireland and the UK. He lived in Des Plaines for most of his life graduating from St. Mary’s grade school (1972), Notre Dame High School (1976) and Northeastern University. He worked for various firms at the Chicago Board Options Exchange for most of his career. Known for his larger-than-life sense of humor and his gregariousness, he will be sorely missed by his extended family and his many, many friends. A memorial open house to celebrate his life is planned for Saturday, March 20 from 1-5pm at The Fahey Home.
