To the entire Yauch family,
We have had the pleasure of being your next door  cottage neighbor  for 43 years. There are no words to explain how how much we love you all. We have had a ringside seat for 43 years of summer fun watching and participating in your joy of life. 
The loss of Ed is a devestating blow to all of us, how much respect we had for him is difficult to explain. Ed and I always communicated over the business association needs for the cottage. He was a pleasure to deal with and always decisive  when decision time was at hand.
It has been a true pleasure knowing Ed, and an honor to call him a friend.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Ed's death.  As an attorney working with Ed to resolve issues left from Robert's estate, I came to appreciate his unfailing courtesy, good business sense, and sound judgment.  I wrapped up my work for Ed a month ago, and for my efforts, I received from him something a lawyer doesn't get often, and long remembers: a thank-you note.  It's the sort that marks a client as a special person, a noble person, someone you would gladly move Heaven and Earth for.. He will be missed.  May he rest in peace.

The few times I met Ed, he was such a gentle quiet man. Your expressions of loss and love these last few days, introduced me to a man who was a dream come true. I can't begin to experience your loss but seeing you grieve so deeply for him leaves me longing for that kind of love in my life. I am deeply sadden buy the passing of Ed.  Even though he wasn't my biological Uncle, I thought of him as being one and always will.
He demonstrated the highest ethics and morals that are possible. His diplomatic and interpersonal skills were paramount to none.  I always enjoyed conversing with him on any level and, he never forgot to say thanks when I cut the bushes.  His picture should be in the dictionary next to “Gentleman”.
