I was so sorry to learn that Elena had passed away.  I worked with her years ago.  She was a genuinely kind, caring person.  I hadn't talked to her in years, but I'm happy to hear she had four beautiful grandchildren; I'm sure they were the light of her life, just as her children were before them.  She was a proud mom and very devoted to her family.  My deepest condolences go out to Sal, Marco, Marisa and her extended family.

Elena was such a kind, wonderful person who touched the lives of all who knew her. I was so sorry to hear of this terrible loss.

I extend my condolences to Salvatore, Marco, Carrie, Marisa and Dave.  I am proud to have called your mother a friend.  I always enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren because I saw a bit of Elena in each of them.

Olivia with her quiet determination in learning to walk and talk.  Many a time Elena would put her head down to arrange an office event and manage to please everyone.

Elena is such a wonderful person. Not just one time, but many time she was very helpful. There are lot more memories in my heart, but I will share some of it here.... During my pregnancy, she was very helpful at the office and tells me 'Nisha, no time you will hold your healthy baby on hands and your baby is just fine, don't worry'. Ofcourse, her encouraging words at that tough times helped me. Also, I can't forget the baby-shower that she arranged with other dearest co-workers either. Even after I left the office, I sometimes take my baby to the office just to show him to her and she even helped me change my baby's diaper. She is like my another mother. I can't forget any of those wonderful memories. She will always be in my heart and I will definitely miss her. I would like to express my condolences to her family. Love u Elena! May your soul rest in peace!!!

I am deeply saddened to learn of Elena's passing. She was a true ray of light, an Angel on Earth, someone I genuinely looked forward to seeing every day! My thoughts and prayers go out to Sal, Marco, Marisa and all the grand childeren during this difficult time.

Elena was always so considerate and thinking of others. She made everyone feel comfortable and welcome at work and treated everyone with respect. She was a great family person and made us all feel part of "her family". I am glad I had an opportunity to know Elena, and I want to express my condolences to her family. She will be missed.

We will all miss Elena so very much. She created that special feeling of a family all around her. In our office, Elena was our mom, our sister, and our friend, and she was a leader. She took care of all of us – she made sure we stuck together, that we had what we needed, and always showed us by example how to respect each other and appreciate life. She was the center of laughter and joy, and of course efficiency and order on top of it all. She made everyone around her feel loved, appreciated, and like they belonged. She created for us in the office a family atmosphere that will always be there as long as we are - a tribute to her and her amazing gift for bringing people together. Elena was warm, caring, comforting, generous, gracious, positive, compassionate, and kind. She became part of our family and we became part of hers, and her beautiful spirit will always be with us.

Please accept my deepest sympathies at the loss of such a wonderful woman!  I knew Elena for only three months, yet she found her way into my heart.  I was inspired to bring to her the holy dirt from the Chimayo Church in New Mexico, and she told me her husband used it to grow a plant, which I thought was a fantastically creative idea.  I really thought she would somehow survive the cancer demon, as did we all here at SafeNet.  What I am truly grateful for is that she did not suffer for a long time before she joined God in Heaven.  So many people suffer for months and years; and now, instead - God chose that she go rather quickly, and that she should join him to be another one of His Angels! Elana was a friendly neighbor who always said hello, asked about my kids and smiled.  I loved seeing her with her children and grandchildren playing in her backyard.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Losing Elena is almost like losing a mother.  She was great friend and co-worker who took care of everyone at Aladdin/SafeNet. I know everyone who worked with her at Aladdin is going to miss her. She was always willing to lend an ear and comfort.  

She surprised me a few weeks ago by sending a thank you card for my encouragement card! She didn't have to do that, but that was so Elena, thinking of others in the middle of her own challenges.  I admired her courage, and I'm sorry she didn't make it through the five years she had planned.  I'm sure, though, that if there's a heaven, Elena's there, and she'll be watching over her grand babies for years to come.
