Elizabeth A. Heyse

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Heyse, and her daughter, Debbie Seeber (Mike).

She is survived by her children: Linda Shanahan (Tom), Bill Heyse (Star), Jan Hoberg (Ray), Judy Heyse, Ronnie Heyse (Janine), Lori Hubbell (Rahn), and Jim Heyse (Stacey); as well as her twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren, who were a great source of pride and joy in her life.

Betty was devoted to her large, loving family and to the home she cherishes, where she proudly lived for seventy-four years. A longtime family tradition was the annual trip to Hayward, Wisconsin, which held a special place in her heart. At home, Betty found joy in life’s simple pleasures—feeding the birds in her yard and playing bingo. She also loved visiting Las Vegas, where she could enjoy even more bingo—because for Betty, there was no such thing as too much bingo.

Visitation will take place from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM on March 30th, 2026 at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, Illinois. A funeral service will follow immediately at 1:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Ridgewood Memorial Park in Des Plaines, Illinois.
