Faye Froehlich Faye C. Froehlich, 1934 - 2011, was the beloved daughter of the late Nyvonne and Charles Froehlich; loving sister of Charlene (the late David) Schwartz; dear aunt of Michele (Michael) Hoff and the late Michael Schwartz; great-aunt of Matthew, Michael and Maggie Hoff; great-great aunt of Dylan Hoff; cherished friend and companion of Marge McHugh; and surrogate aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Tuesday, 3 to 9 p.m. at the Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Highway/Route 14 at Rand Road), Des Plaines. The funeral will begin Wednesday, 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, going to St. Emily Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Chapel, 6001 W. 111th St., Alsip, Ill. at 2 p.m. Faye retired from the A.T.& S.F. Railroad after more than 30 years of service. She could be as hard as nails or as soft as falling snow. Always there for her family and friends, she never said no to someone in need, always giving in every capacity. She was an avid golfer and traveler, and a former softball player in the Grant Park Powder Puff League. She will now be playing the best golf courses in heaven. Faye now joins Mom and Dad and those others who have gone before her. She will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. John Berchmans, 2517 W. Logan, Chicago, Ill., or St. Albert the Great, 5555 W. State, Burbank Ill., would be appreciated.
