Gail Frances Litz, age 79, of Hoffman Estates, passed away unexpectedly the afternoon of Monday, June 2, 2025. Born February 2, 1946 (proudly the first year of the Baby Boomers), in Chicago to the late Clarence Nimtz and the late Eleanore Frances Nimtz (nee Truschke), she was the beloved wife of 40 years of the late Robert W. Litz. Cherished mother of the late Bradley, Renee (Erik) Johansson, Jeremy (Jennifer) Litz, and Kendra (Gary) Shultis; adored grandmother of Elizabeth, David, and Alexander Johansson, Nicholas and Nathan Litz, and Gary Lee and Eleanore Gail Shultis; dear sister of the late Clayton and the late John; and fond aunt of Jon, JoAnn, Jim, Jeff, Natasha, Terry, and Melissa.
A longtime member of The Orchard Evangelical Church, the only thing as strong as her faith was her love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation Monday, June 9, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL. Funeral Service Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
