She was born on March 15th, 1967 in Kyiv, Ukraine to Nadezhda and Ivan Avramenko.
Galina was known for her strong, unwavering character, for the boundless depth of her love, and for the meticulous care she took of all people and things she interacted with. She was a devoted mother, loving wife, attentive friend, caring daughter, and affectionate sister. She lived out what it meant to “love your neighbor as yourself”. These qualities were exemplified in the countless nights she spent welcoming friends and family into her home and gathering them around the table for late night conversation, offering her wisdom and guidance, often firmly, but always lovingly.
Galina was a visionary. She dedicated much of her time to building a beautiful, fulfilling life for herself, but mostly for her family. She always thought multiple steps ahead, carefully planning and actualizing the future she envisioned. Whether it was sharing small gifts from the treasure hunts in her beloved antique stores or painstakingly thinking through plans for her sanctuary home in Wisconsin, her effort always left something palpable for others to enjoy. She demonstrated that being careful and intentional with your time allows for a beautifully curated life meant to be enjoyed with your family.
Galina endured a life marked by many hardships, but her resilience and fortitude carried her through each trial and tribulation with grace and patience. This was witnessed up until the last moment of her life. She leaves us with an example of how to overcome any obstacle that comes our way.
Galina is survived by her husband Petro Fediv, her son Ivan, and her daughter Nadia. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and sister Tania. She will be affectionately greeted by them in heaven.
A visitation will be held on May 16th, 2026, at Oehler Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. . A funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Galina will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
