Iwona was a beloved mother to Marta Polka, mother-in-law to Kevin Polka, and grandmother to Dominic Polka and Olivia Polka. She is also survived by her brother, Lech Wojnicz, who resides in Poland. She was predeceased by her parents Piotr and Kazimiera Wojnicz.
My mother was a great friend to so many throughout the years. She deeply cared about the people she loved and was thoughtful to celebrate and share in their happiness. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she showed them love and compassion every step of the way. They were her light even on the toughest days.
My mother’s greatest strengths were not to give up and care for others when most people wouldn’t. With every new challenge she faced, she has shown us her incredible strength and resilience. Her warrior spirit was simply unsurpassed and will carry on in all of us.
We invite you to celebrate Iwona's strength, courage, and love. In her honor, feel free to wear colors other than black. She wanted memories of her to remain happy and bright.
