Very sad  about Jim's passing. Mostly I'm sad for him because he was so young. My heart goes out to his family and all of those people who were touched by Jim's beautiful soul and magnetic personality. He was so much fun to hang with when we were younger before I moved away from Chicago. I will miss him tremendously!
 Jim was one of my oldest friends. I've literally known him my entire life. Since we moved to Evanston when I was an Infant. He was 5 years older than me, and we lived across the alley from his family. His mom Winnie babysat for me and some of my earliest and fondest memories are with Jim. He was my older brother and I his little cousin. Throughout all of those adventures we shared during our childhood together, we maintained contact even after my family moved to Skokie. I remember when his children were born and knew those he was close to. We continued to remain friends even after I moved across the country. Phone calls and visits. When I started my family my children played with all of his kids on a number of occasions. Very happy memories.
 I could always count on Jim to make me laugh. He was such a gregarious person. So full of life and love for others. He was always taking someone under his wing, people he worked with, neighbors anyone who he felt needed help. He will truly be missed by many people! 
 I love you Jim. You were taken away from us all far too soon. Time to rest now...

James was a sweet and generous soul. I am deeply saddened by his death, and my heart goes out to his family—specially to Jimmy, who, like his father, is a wonderful person. It is clear that James was very proud of Jimmy. As a tenant of the U-Haul work lofts for more than ten years, I loved chatting with James. He was always warm and a gentleman. Occasionally, there were drips coming from the floor above my loft, and, like a brilliant craftsman-detective, he would sort the specific issue and fix it. I got to know James' passion for Cuban cigars and, when I traveled to Cuba, it was my “duty” to bring him a couple of cigars which he enjoyed. This life is about enjoying. James also collected many small things, such as coins. He had such a profound knowledge of these. It was fun to hear him mention his collections because his enthusiasm was contagious. I will miss James enormously. He is truly one of a kind. Bless him and his family.

My condolences to my cousins and their families.. I’m heartbroken hearing of your passing Uncle Jim.  You were always the best and fun when we were growing up.  So many memories I will cherish. RIP Uncle Jim love you ❤️❤️ you will be truley missed.

Many years ago Jim and I met at work- who knew 30 years later we’d still be friends- Jim and I were gifted the best gift ever and his name is Sean. We had our struggles for a time- but forgiveness works - we were able to maintain a strong friendship and raise a wonderful child together.  Jim was my friend first - my handyman ( couldn’t hire anyone) my bags partner, bonfire buddy-and just an all around good guy that loved life, people  and Miller Lite.  He will be greatly missed by both Sean and I- but we are at peace knowing he is resting comfortably with our Lord - Bless you Jimmy - Rest in Peace and we’ll see you on the other side.  Love ya-Ann

Long story short...We both signed up for the company's Bowling Club .
Our team won First Place! Because of Jimmy's 
Great Sportsmanship to everyone !

When I met James just a year ago, he greeted me with immediate kindness and comraderie. I knew he was the kind of person who would have your back if You were the kind of person to receive such a gesture. 
I know these past months have been so difficult to endure and I wish for peace  in the family and with his sweet soul and the legacy he leaves behind . 
I am grateful to have had the moments we connected and to receive the benefits of his diligent  and attentive work where I have put my art studios in place for now and the future.
