James A. Stumpf, 54, of Chicago, born October 27, 1961 in Hinsdale, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer September 26, 2016. Jim was the loving husband of Eileen Rafferty-Stumpf; dear father of Ireland (age 8) and Liam Michael (age 6); devoted son to Elizabeth (nee Himber) and the late Anthony Stumpf, brother of Robert (Kathy) Stumpf and the late Linda Allen. Jim also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends. All who knew him were amazed by his infectious humor and love of life. The Edmonton Oilers have lost their biggest fan. Visitation will be Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 11:00 AM until time of funeral service 3:00 PM at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street (Rt. 14/ Northwest Hwy. and Rand Road) Des Plaines. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the James A. Stumpf Memorial Fund (to benefit his children’s education) c/o Oehler Funeral Home appreciated.
