The funeral service for Jean M. Charnota (nee Becker), 68, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Highway/Route 14 at Rand Road), Des Plaines. Interment is private. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at the funeral home. Born May 22, 1942, in Chicago, she died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at her residence. For 24 years Jean worked as a bookkeeper for Lawson Products in Des Plaines. She was the wife of the late John M. Charnota; mother of Laura L. (Mark Siepka) Charnota and John C. (Katherine) Charnota; and grandmother of Joshua, Nicholas and Allison. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 910 W.
