Jennifer L. Soltis

Having left her loved ones too soon, Jennifer left her mark on those she cared for most. She took great joy in spending time with her loving family, including her spouse, Bruce; son, Michael; grandchildren; and her dog, Hattie.

Creativity and reveling in life’s small joys were always present as she loved to scrapbook, play her violin, and spend time with her enormous dollhouse. As a child, Jennifer belonged to Job’s Daughters and Girl Scouts, which later led her to be involved with Boy Scouts with Michael where she eventually met Bruce, and the rest is history!

Born on August 18, 1949, in Chicago to the late Horatio and Leola Underwood, she was the beloved spouse of over 40 years to Bruce Seward. Cherished mother of Michael Soltis; dear grandmother of Alexandra, Michael, and Ryan; and fond sister of the late Lynn. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation Monday, October 12, 2026, from 10am until 2pm with Funeral Services beginning at 2pm at Ridgewood Memorial Park – Swan Lake Chapel, 9900 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Des Plaines, IL. Interment to immediately follow at Ridgewood Memorial Park. Arrangement entrusted to Oehler Funeral Home, Des Plaines, IL.
