Joan E. Stube

Joan Eleanor Stube (née Ericson), 79, passed away on December 12, 2016. She was born in Chicago on August 31, 1937. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James and her children Jane (Chuck) Schulien, Anne (Massimo) Masini, Carol (Bruce) Hammersley, Patty (Rich) Jett and Chris (Kathy) Stube. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren Jennifer and Kate Schulien, Ericson and Tyler Masini, Michael, Scott and Paige Hammersley, Will and Jimmy Jett, Ryan and Kyle Stube. She also had many lifelong friends. Joan had the blessing of passing away peacefully surrounded by her husband and her family. She was our Dad's copilot, our Mom, our doctor/healer, our best friend, our teacher, our Santa Claus, our tooth fairy, our class room mom, our Girl Scout leader, our "left-overs" reheater, our chauffeur, our "help! What do I do with this newborn"er, our children's grandma, Beeca, G-ma and our role model. Visitation will be Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 3-8 PM at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street (Northwest Hwy/Rt. 14 at Rand Road) Des Plaines where the funeral service will be held Monday, December 19 at 11:00 AM. Interment All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Mayfair Presbyterian Church, which she and her mother (Eleanor Ericson) attended for many years, 4358 West Ainslie St., Chicago, IL 60630 or Mayfairpresbyterianchurch.org.
