John R. Stauss

John R. Stauss, 87, of Park Ridge, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 15th, 2026. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Swarbrick; his nephew, Jim Swarbrick (Stacey); his nieces, Shelley Letner (David) and Heidi North (Greg); his great nieces and nephews, Haley, JD, Noah, Jack, and McKenna; and many other family and friends.

Born in Chicago on June 17th, 1939, John spent his life in the area, fostering close relationships with family and friends. He worked for S&C Electric for forty-five years and retired in 2010. John had a zest for life, and he was an active Mason and member of the Neidersachsen Club. He enjoyed attending lodge with his friends, traveling, waterskiing, and cars. John’s loving spirit and infectious laugh will be remembered by all whose lives he touched.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at Swan Lake Chapel in Ridgewood Memorial Park, 9900 Milwaukee Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois, with a service to follow at 12:00 noon. Interment at Ridgewood Memorial Park.
