I had the pleasure of working in the same classroom with Joey for 3 years at New Horizon Center. He was always smiling and brightened up anyones day. I remember one time when I was working with my student and I accidently dropped a glue stick cap on the floor. Joey started belly laughing and it was one the purest things I have ever heard. God bless you Joey and prayers for the family. Keep smiling down on us Joey.

My heart is so sad. I loved my special angel Joey. He was the light and special part of each day that I was blessed to work with him on my schedule. His contagious smile was priceless, especially after he worked and tried so hard at something and he saw his success. His belly laughs, if I dropped something or if something fell on the floor, would bring tears to my eyes. I will always think of Joey when I see Thomas the Train for the rest of my life. Joey was a beautiful child and I am sure he is making all of heaven smile now! God Bless you Joey! I will miss you so much! Love to you, Diane Walsh

Joe and Therese, you two are the best. I grieve with you.

Joey would light up the room with his smile. He didn't have to speak to tell you he appreciated your presence. We had a special relationship. He added so much more to my life than I could ever add to is. I'm blessed to have known him. Rest in peace Joey. Some day we'll be together again.

I remember Joey's sweet smiles as he and my daughter, 2yo old at the time, had their own secret conversation. She mirrored his kindness in a way that demonstrated his love of those nearest him.
