Judy A Herscha

Judy A Herscha, 67, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023 in Glenview, IL. She was born on August 11, 1956 in Mount Prospect, IL to Leslie and Mary (Koertgen) Orrell. Judy married Josef Herscha on November 6, 1988 in Park Ridge, IL.

Judy is survived by her husband; son Cody Herscha; siblings Linda (John) Schuler, Jeffrey (Jill) Orrell, and Amy Orrell; nieces and nephews Christian Peterson, Elese Orrell, Zach Orrell, Danielle Orrell, Michael Orrell, Alex Orrell, Tanya (Mark) Tice, and Sondra Michalski; great-nephew Marc; siblings-in-law Franz (Nancy) Herscha and Irmgard (Tom) Tokar. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Stephen Orrell.

Judy was a skilled artist; she enjoyed painting and making stained glass. She loved gardening and also created her own butterfly garden. Judy found solace in nature and was an environmental advocate. Judy had an infectious laughter and she lit up the room wherever she went.

Memorial visitation will be held from 2pm-4pm with Celebration of Life Service following from 4pm-5pm on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Waterfront Community Church, 2080 Stonington Avenue, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169. Memorial donations may be made in Judy’s name to The Nature Conservancy at nature.org.
