Jung Ja In

하나님의 사랑하는 딸 인정자 성도님께서 2023년 1월 16일 (월요일) 향년 80세로 하나님의 부르심을 받으셨습니다.

Jung Ja was the beloved wife to LC Gilbert; loving mother to Kyu In, Sue In, Cindy In, Steve (June) In, Andrew Gilbert, Daven Gilbert, Mary (Stanley) Wienclaw, and LC Gilbert III; dear grandmother to 27 grandchildren and cherished great-grandmother to 4 great-grand children.

She was a wonderful wife and mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved by those close to her and to say that her family and friends will miss her greatly is an understatement.

Jung had an amazing sense of humor and a beautiful laugh! Her wit was razor sharp and she was known to say/do the most shocking thing she could think of, in hopes of helping you see a new perspective. She made her whole family laugh with her outrageous and exaggerated facial expressions. She was kind, generous and compassionate. Even when she spoke in anger, she was often the first to apologize and to try to heal what was broken. She believed in autonomy and dignity and a person’s right to choose the life they want. She struggled with the concept of tough love and was fiercely independent and private. She loved her entire family, despite their quirks and disfunction. She worried about them, rooted for them, protected them, resented them, forgave them, and always kept on loving them.

Jung will be desperately missed by all those that she’s left behind. Our hearts are so broken by this loss. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.

A committal service for Jung Ja will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Swan Lake Chapel, Ridgewood Memorial Park, 9900 N Milwaukee Ave, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
