Kathleen Knight

She lived a full life as an office manager, homemaker, wife, mother, and nana. Most people know her as Pat as she preferred to go by her middle name. She is now reunited with her late loving husband Lawrence who preceded her in death after 49 years of a happy marriage. She was one of eleven children of the late Catherine and Owen including the late Owen, Gerald, Mary, James, and Joan. Brothers Daniel, John, Thomas, Michael, and Brian survive her. She was a treasured friend and sister-in-law to many. She was the best mother her daughter Laura could imagine and a beloved nana to Liam, step-nana to Logan and Mackenzie and a beloved mother-in-law to Gregory. As an aunt and great aunt to many, she was a true supporter and cheerleader. She was a dog mother over the years to many including her special Louie. Reading, cooking, and art were her favorite hobbies. Her humor and sense of fun were enjoyed by many. Gatherings and time with family and friends had been important to her. In that spirit, her life will be celebrated.

A visitation for Kathleen will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016. A celebration of life service will occur Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016. A committal service will occur Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Cemetery, Belmont and North Cumberland Avenue, River Grove, IL 60171.
