He was born on October 29, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, to his parents, Carl and Marie Kirsten Christensen. He was the devoted husband of over 65 years of his wife, Gloria Christensen. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and his sisters, Sigrid Christensen, Ruth (Cleo) Hansen, and Dr. Margaret Christensen. He is survived by his daughter Deborah Christensen, his daughter Tamara (Michael) Wozniak, and his son David (Juanita) Christensen; his grandchildren Christopher (Sarah) Wozniak, Julie (Nathan) Engelhardt, and Jeffrey (Amanda) Wozniak; great-grandchildren Grace, Elijah, Daniel, Logan, Leif, Eleanor, Asher, Avery, Brielle, Luke, and Owen; step-great grandchildren Demari and Camden.
Memorial service will be held at Jubilee Bible Church, 900 Foster Avenue, Medinah, Illinois on Wednesday October 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
