A devoted husband, loving father, and proud veteran, Kent served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy during World War II and in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. His life was marked by service, faith, and deep commitment to family. For many years, he was an active member of Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church in Palm Coast, where he remained active in the congregation for many years.
Kent was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley C. Nichols. He is survived by his children, Mark Nichols, Jane Nichols, PhD, and Kent Nichols, his daughter-in-law, Karen Nichols, and his cherished grandchildren, Katherine Nichols, MD, Patrick Nichols, and Sean Nichols.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church or Halifax Hospice in his honor.
