Laura E. Menger-Allen

Laura E Menger-Allen, 94, nee Bell of Elk Grove Village, formerly of Des Plaines; born February 24, 1922 in Peoria. During her working career she was a clerk at Rexall Drugs Store, one time she dressed up as Mrs. Claus, also acting as security for the holiday and a bank bookkeeper. She was an avid crossword puzzle solver and very patriotic. She passed away on March 28, 2016; beloved wife of the late George Menger, Sr. and the late Herbert Allen; loving mother of George Menger, Jr., L. Gretchen (Michael) Grant, Brent (Nancy) Menger, Corliss Decatur, the late Keith (Joyce) Menger and the late Kenneth (Sylvia) Menger; proud grandmother of Bradley, the late Jennifer, Heidi, Tammy, Stacey, Michael, Brandon, Kristin, Stephen, James, Joel, Mindy, Tod, Jon, the late Jeffery, the late Stacey Jamie and Timothy; proud great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother of many. Visitation Thursday 4:00pm to 9:00 pm at the Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Hwy. / Rt. 14 at Rand Rd.). Friends and family will gather on Friday at 10:00 am at the funeral home, where service will be held at 11:00 am, interment Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights IL.
