Lorraine A. Blaha

Lorraine A. Blaha of Des Plaines. Lorraine A. Blaha (nee Kohnke) was the loving wife of the late Kenneth Blaha; devoted mother of Pamela (Don Dorsch) Dent; caring grandmother of Shawn (Stacey) Blaha, Allison (Kurt) Kurlek and William (Jennifer) Dent, and great-grandmother of Alyssa, Mason, Carter, Morgan and the late Katryna; and fond sister of the late Bob Kohnke and Helen Eisenhauer. Lorraine married Ken on May 31, 1947, and worked at Lutheran General Hospital and then later Holy Family Hospital as a nurse. After retirement, she volunteered at the Frisbie Senior Center. Lorraine also enjoyed going to her cottage in Cable, Wis. Lorraine quilted and worked on the Chamber newsletter, and also enjoyed gardening and taking day trips with her friends. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (corner of Northwest Highway/Route 14 and Rand Road), Des Plaines. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Frisbie Senior Center, 52 Northwest Highway, Des Plaines, IL 60016 appreciated.
