Lorraine C. North

Services for Lorraine C. North nee Courtney, 91, will be held 11:00 am Friday at the Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Highway/Route 14 at Rand Road), Des Plaines, 60016. Interment will be at Ridgewood Cemetery in Des Plaines. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Born in Des Plaines, October 2, 1921, she passed away September 27, 2013 at Centegra Hospital in Woodstock, IL. She lived in Des Plaines most of her life and was a homemaker. Lorraine was an accomplished seamstress, creating beautiful outfits for many. She was a deeply religious person, not a day went by that she did not have her bible in her hands and a prayer on her lips. She was preceded in death by her dear husband of 57 years, Manson. She is survived by her loving children Linda (Steven) Aavang and Robert (Pat) North; cherished grandchildren, Courtney (Adam) Tibble, Lynn Ann (Mark ) Petryniec and Grace Aavang and Julia (Michael) Moreland, Robyn and Cecilia North; adoring great-grandchildren Jacob, Bella, Max and Luca; fond brother Bill (Peg) Morrison.
