Luella Senne, of Des Plaines, born on July 13, 1919 in Des Plaines, Illinois to the late Paul and Helen (Kolze Blume) Senne, passed away on October 15, 2020 at the age of 101. Luella was the beloved partner of the late William H. Anders and fond half sister to Clarence (Emma) Senne, Helen (John) Netherland, Lilly (Otto) Kuhn, Grace (Elmer) Ebel and Florence Blume (Banis) Pool; and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Luella was a life long resident of Des Plaines living on Thacker Street for 90 years. She was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ where she was baptized and confirmed. Her first jobs were at a local news agency, Senne’s Meat Market and the Five and Dime Store. The majority of her working life was as a vault manager and teller at the First National Bank of Des Plaines (now First Midwest Bank) from where she retired in 1986.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 10AM to noon, followed by a service at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. Des Plaines, IL 60016. A private interment will follow at Ridgewood Memorial Park.
