Manuel Trejo, aged 77, a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many, passed away on July 14, 2025, due to complications from consecutive strokes. He was born on January 9, 1948 in Zacatecas, Mexico.
Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, Marcelino Trejo and Maria de Jesus Romero, as well as his brothers, Pedro and Luis, and his sister, Concepción. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Antonia; his children, Luis (Kassy) and Rocio (Litzgerald Mamuri); his cherished grandchild, Xochitl Mamuri; and his brothers, Salvador, Jaime, and Rigoberto, along with many adored nieces and nephews.
Known as Manny or Meño to most, he was affectionately called “viejito” by his wife and “pa” by his children. Manny was an avid sports fan who enjoyed fútbol, boxing, and baseball. He was also a superfan of classic action stars such as Chuck Norris, Charles Bronson, Clint Eastwood, and Steven Seagal. His music preferences ranged from ballads by Juan Gabriel and José José to songs by groups like Los Bukis, Los Yonics, The Beatles, and Creedence Clearwater Revival, among other notable classics.
Manny had a humble childhood, growing up in a single-parent household with six siblings. He faced the loss of his father at the age of eight, which profoundly impacted him and his family. After his father’s passing, the family moved from Zacatecas to Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, prompting him to start working at a very young age to help support them. He carried that drive into adulthood, becoming a dedicated and hardworking provider for his wife and children.
Manny genuinely appreciated meeting and conversing with people from all walks of life, always being generous with his time. He often reflected on his life’s journey, stating that “walking through the streets offered him invaluable experiences, turning every step into a life lesson.” These lessons shaped his calm and level-headed demeanor, making him an effective communicator who was always ready to offer advice and quick to lend a helping hand. As a result, he earned much love and respect from everyone who knew him.
Despite facing health challenges for much of his life, Manny lived fully and appreciated the simplicity of everyday living. He was at his happiest when surrounded by loved ones—sharing cherished memories, discussing current events, or watching sports and action films. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit will live on in the memories of all who were fortunate to know him, and he will be dearly missed.

Como resultado, se ganó el cariño y el respeto de todos los que lo conocieron.
A pesar de enfrentar problemas de salud durante gran parte de su vida, Manny vivió plenamente y apreció la sencillez de la vida cotidiana.
