

Margot T. Morris nee Baer. Born in Ottumwa, Iowa on November 15, 1916, Margot passed away July 31, 2014, in Des Plaines. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Daniel Morris, former Professor of Philosophy , Loyola University, Chicago and University of Illinois, Chicago; loving mother of Teresa Kettelkamp and John Morris; cherished grandmother of Kathleen Kettelkamp, Zachary (DeAnna) Kettelkamp, Jennifer(Joe) Hanasz and Daniel (Danielle) Morris; proud great-grandmother of Vitabella, Lyla, Giavanna, Grant and Luke. Visitation Monday4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Oehler Funeral Home 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Hwy. / Rt. 14 at Rand Rd. ) Des plaines Funeral Tuesday 9:15 am from chapel to St. Zachary Church, 567 W. Algonquin Rd. Des Plaines, Mass 10:00 am. Interment All Saints Cemetery. A Personnel Counselor for twenty years, with a privately-owned employment service. A Professor - taught Speech, Debate, Persuasion at Lake Forest College. Organized Radio Department at Lake Forest College and taught radio courses. Served as Admissions Counselor there. An Actress, Announcer, Writer, Director in field of Radio for ten years. Script and Continuity Writer. Taught Dale Carnegie Course. A Journalist - columns for local newspapers, short story writer, ghost-writer for Insurance Executive and a poet with a poem in the National Library of Poetry. Active in field of the Arts - one of seven founders of the Countryside Art Gallery in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Also a Coordinator/Facilitator/Adviser for Project St. Joseph; a self-help network for the unemployed, meeting at St. Zachary in Des Plaines. During last fifteen years has continued to write resumes, present seminars and workshops on all aspects of employment. Seminars on "Say Yes! To Life!" to Senior Citizens. Active in the Parish of St. Zachary, serving on the Parish Administrative Council.
