Marvella Sorensen

Marvella was a long time active member of Bethel Community Church in Chicago. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children, Duane (Debbie) Sorensen, Renea Sorensen, Lori (Brian) Leahy; seven grandchildren, Kim (Sam) Yoakum, Kevin Sorensen, Karl Sorensen, Kristy Sorensen, Amy (Matt) Fulton, Brian Leahy, Colin Leahy; seven great-grandchildren, Michael, Graham, Finley, Callie, Owen, Finn, and Cooper; sister, Marilyn (Wally) Redinger; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Hill; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arne Sorensen; parents; Emil and Alma Hill; and brothers, Orlan (Lill) Hill and Robert Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials under Marvella’s name may be made out to Bethel Community Church.

Family will be receiving guests on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bethel Community Church, 7601 W. Foster Ave., Chicago, IL, where additional services will be held on Tuesday, August 27 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Interment private.
