Begg (nee Ehlers) will be from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at the Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Highway/Route 14 at Rand), Des Plaines. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery. Born Sept. 17, 1925, in Chicago, she died Monday, April 18, 2011, in Des Plaines. Muriel was a 411 directory assistance operator for Centel Telephone for over 25 years before retiring. She was the beloved mother of Raymond (Jeanette) Hillyer, Ardeth Hillyer, Candy Fordham, Margie Brooks and Cheri Brandt; and loving grandmother of five, great-grandmother of 11 and great-great-grandmother of one.
