While today we mourn his passing from our sight, we will forever celebrate Paul’s many accomplishments. Paul’s life began in Chicago’s Back of the Yards neighborhood with his sister Helen, who were both taken to Angel Guardian Orphanage where they were raised and cared for. At the age of 17, Paul left the orphanage and became a proud Marine, then worked several jobs in order to put himself through law school at John Marshall Law School. Paul worked as an attorney in Chicago and later became a professor at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn for many years teaching Business Law and Real Estate.
A loving husband to Bernadette, his love; cherished Father to daughters Maria (Todd) Grzesiak and Jennifer; beloved grandfather to Marissa, Jacob & Josh; and great-grandfather to Isabella and baby brother to Helen, his sister.
Paul is survived by above family members along with his sister Helen’s two sons Martin and Marcus and their families.
May he rest in peace by our Lord’s side, knowing his memory will FOREVER live in the hearts and minds of his family and loved ones and all those who knew Paul, and those whose lives he touched throughout his lifetime.
In lieu of flowers or monetary gifts, please instead make a donation in any amount in Paul’s memory to his favorite place - where his life began as a young child, Misericordia Heart of Mercy (www.misericordia.com). It was once Angel Guardian Orphanage and continues to provide those in need with love and care.
Paul Subia, our angel in Heaven - we love you and will hold you in our hearts always and forever.
