Ralph E. Meyer, formerly of Mount Prospect, was the devoted husband of Marjorie Meyer (nee Cantin); loving father of Virginia Meyer, Kathi (Johannes) Smits, David (Kathy) Meyer, William (Carol) Meyer and Sandra Mack; and caring grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of six. Mr. Meyer was a World War II Navy veteran, a graduate of the University of Indiana and a member of the Des Plaines Elks Lodge. Visitation is Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Highway/Route 14 at Rand Road), Des Plaines, where services will be Saturday, 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.
