Richard Francis Higgins

Son of Patricia A. Higgins Milstead (Sweitzer) and Robert R. Higgins. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers Thomas M. Higgins, Robert S. Higgins, stepbrother Thomas E. Milstead, and nephew Shawn M. Ireland. He is survived by his siblings Cathleen C. (Todd) Werner, Mary P. Higgins, Ann E. Milstead, Virginia A. Ireland (Milstead), Joyce J. Milstead, and Santos Beauchamp, Harry Beauchamp; nieces Kristina A. (Greg Oberman) Higgins, Shawna A. Higgins, Michelle L. Ireland, Hannah H. Milstead; nephews Mathew R. Ireland, Daniel M. Werner, Jeffrey P. Werner.

Richie, as he was affectionately referred to by family and friends, was employed by the USPS for thirty-five years. He enjoyed playing chess, pool, golf, and the Lottery. He enjoyed music, reading and writing. Known for love of all animals, especially his dog Von, his cats Gershy (for Gershwin), Lil Momma, and Groovy. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family.
