Richard J. Janecek

On Monday, August 7, 2023, our beloved brother and uncle, Richard Joseph Janecek, entered the glory of eternal life. He was the precious brother and best friend of sisters, Jane Scharringhausen, Cherie LeJeune, and Marilyn Bock, beloved uncle of Christine LeJeune, Rachelle LeJeune, Cherisse Dougherty, Jamie Bock and Emilia (Bock) Grattan, and caring friend of so many. He attended Duke University, becoming an investor. He had great love and devotion to his family and a love for dogs, all dogs.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines IL 60016. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11:00 am at Oehler Funeral Home followed by at 1:00 pm at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Road, Hillside IL.
