Russell Diete, age 73, passed on May 6, 2026. Russell was born on August 7, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois to Harry and Margaret Diete. He attended local Chicago schools and graduated from Roald Amundsen High School. Russell worked for over 25 years for the city of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raymond and Donald and a sister, Linda Bossier.
Russell is survived by, five siblings, James Diete, Richard Diete, Mary (George) Heim, Gustav Diete and Barbara Kalupski. As well as other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL 600164611, US, on May 14, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at11:00 am.
A Committal Service will take place at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016, immediately following the service.
