

She was born on June 17, 1930 in the Jefferson Park area of Chicago. Her family were members of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson Park and Schurz High School where she attended school.
She married the love of her life (Jack) George John Lynn in 1949 after he returned from the service.
Her passion was the time with family and being the loving grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an active member of St Andrews Lutheran Church and the St. John Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being outside and gardening, and being an avid dog owner. Even though she called herself a homebody who enjoyed being at home. She always remembered her travel to Hong Kong and Japan, and her trips to Yellowstone, Florida and Washington D.C.
Sally is survived by her children, Gary (Nancy), James, Michael (Cindy), and Patrick. Her grandchildren, Zachary, Julia, Arica, Ryan, Jessica and Brittany, and 5 great grandchildren. Her sister in law Diane, her cousin Audrey, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Jack Lynn, her parents Henry Lehning and Julia (nee Altergott), her brothers Richard, Eddie and his wife Edith, and her Sister Norma Antesberger and her husband Ray.
A visitation for Selma will be held Monday, April 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016, following a funeral service at 11:30 AM and will then proceed to St Luke Cemetery, 5300 N Pulaski, Chicago, IL 60630.
