Buni was a blessing to many and a constant reminder of God's love. With her kind words and selfless acts, our memories of her are held dear to our heart. We thank God for her time here on earth and her impact on our lives: a saint has truly gone home to glory!

A blessed life lived close to the Lord and departed surrounded by love and care of exemplary devoted children, grandchildren and grand grandchildren.

OUR BUNI

Julia...what people you come from!  I only understood a word here and there, but the beautiful melody of the language spoke the loving tributes to our Buni.  But the singing...oh, Julie, you must miss that.  It was SO BEAUTIFUL!!  The harmony, the melodies...everyone singing.  It makes me sad to think that this tradition may be lost with the young ones.  I remember when my parents would gather with their Swedish friends and sing songs that longed for home. I was so happy to be there tonight.  I will think of you tomorrow.  Our love to your entire, wonderful family-

This is the email my best friend Jean Andersen sent me after Buni's (my mother in law, Susana Brad)  wake on Thursday October 24, 2013.
 BUNI was the best mother in law ever.
She was wise, intelligent, practical, generous, industrious, courageous, kind, beautiful inside and out.
BUNI loved her nurori,  (daughters in law) , Nuti and myself,  just like her own children. I am so very grateful for her example which I am trying to apply in my life, loving Louisa and Glen as my own daughter and son.   
The root of the word bunica (grandmother in romanian) is "bun" which means "good".  And she did justice to that name.  We called her BUNI and she was not just our BUNI but everybody's BUNI. 
We will miss her but we are also grateful that her long journey, hard on the last stretch, came to an end. She is in a good place now,  where there's no pain and suffering. She is talking to Peter her son and my husband,  to her husband and all others up there before her,  bringing them up to date about things that  happened since they left us.  And she's got  a lot to tell.

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

Dumnezeu sa mangaie pe toti care sunt tristi datorita despartirii si sa pastreze in noi vie speranta revederii in patria eterna!

Ne pare rau pentru despartirea temporara de o persoana draga a familiei. Fie ca toti sa avem parte de rai si sa ne reintalnim acolo.

Sora Susana, viata dvs. de  devotament pentru familia dvs. si de credinta nestramutata pentru Domnul Isus Hristos va ramine ca o amintire frumoasa pentru urmasii dvs. pentru care v-ati rugat sa fie oameni de nadejde in Armata lui Hristos, vrednici sa duca Cuvintul Evangheliei tuturor celor ce nu au auzit de vestea Salvarii prin Domnul Isus Hristos. Ati trait o viata frumoasa, si Dumnezeu v-a binecuvintat si cu batrinete lunga avind bucuria sa va vedeti nu numai nepotii dar si copii nepotilor.
Domnul sa binecuvinteze in continuare familia dvs. mare: Brad, sa fie tari si verzi ca bradul.
Vreau sa aduc un omagiu deosebit tutuor celor ce au ingriit de dumneata, si in mod special fetei dvs. Elena Demian care cu atita dragoste a avut grija de dumneata chir si atunci cind nici nu o mai cunoasteai.
Ma bucur ca in viata mea am putut sa va cunosc si sa invat multe de la dvs. si de la copii dvs. si prin care cu ajutorul Domnui am ajuns si eu si familia mea in Statele Unite ale Americii.
