It’s been one year and it’s still hard to believe that you are no longer with us. You lived a great life & married a great woman.   Your family is your legacy and it is certainly in great hands.    But you will always be missed by those that loved you.  I consider myself one of the fortunate ones to have known you and shared alot of memories, with no regrets . Sue & I will be raising a toast to you and your sister Judy  at 6pm tonite (New Years in Ireland)

I am so sorry to have learned so late of Tim's passing. I wish I could have participated in his memorial. He was so supportive of my launch into adulthood and helping me find my first Real Job. I will always remember his support, kindness and sense of humor. Your family will always be dear to me.

Had I known about the services, I would have been there. My condolences to the entire Dunne clan. I go way back to the St. Jude and Mt. Carmel days. Tim was one of the happiest people I knew. Never saw a frown on his face, never. Just a great guy. He lit up the room. From what I remember, pretty fast on his feet, as well. Even though I haven't seen Tim for years, the thought of his passing brought sorrow. He was an exceptional guy, and he will be greatly missed by all. An honest to goodness, beautiful genuine human being. His smile was infectious!

Tim Dunne was a "gentle giant"!! He was the epitome of what a friend, a boss and caring individual should be. I always told Tim that he was my favorite boss because he cared about his employees and co-workers. I can't speak for others, but in my eyesight, he gave us incentive to want to come to work.  From the Chicago cross town baseball games, to the bowling and Christmas parties, Tim encouraged us to enjoy ourselves and each other.  He will truly be missed but will be honorably remembered!!

Tim Dunne was my boss for 6 years at Aon Warranty. He was a great listener and a motivator, a character that you only encounter once in a lifetime.  Last time I spoke to Tim, he unexpectedly called me after I left TWG to thank me for the LinkedIn recommendation that I gave him, which was out of the blue. We talked for no longer than 10 minutes, but he gave me advice and motivated me to never change and to keep on the right track. My condolences to those closest to Tim, he was a rare gem. 

To Tim's family and friends - I am so sorry for your loss. Tim was an amazing man. He was my boss at TWG for a number of years - a good boss, but an even better human with a sense of humor. He as a Bears fan had the bad luck of working with 3 Packers Shareholders. We had a standing lunch bet on the games, and I'll never forget the one time the Bears let him down. We were at Giordano's up the block, and I showed him my Shareholder ID cards. He grabbed one and set it at his table place "to fit in". We ate our pizza, the waitress brought the check. Less than 30 sec later, she came back - "sir, you can't pay with this". He'd used the ID! "Wait, are you trying to tell me this isn't WORTH ANYTHING??" We all laughed, and I still do thinking about it. Rest well, Tim.

I knew Tim from our work together at The Warranty Group. Always a level headed solid guy. Tim was always prepared at the meeting, always followed up and always did what he said he would do. Im saddened to hear of his passing. My condolences to the Dunne family for their loss. Indeed, this is a loss to everyone. There aren't enough guys around with Tim’s integrity, ethics and character. RIP Tim. God bless you.

As the Director of Alumni Relations Emeritus, I offer you the sympathy and prayers of the Saint Viator High School community.

Our hearts go out to you as you move through your journey of grief.  We pray for you as you share the stories, laugh and cry, and find ways to celebrate the life of your husband and father and the love you shared.

As I read the obituary for this “loving husband…devoted father…dear brother…fond uncle” who “was a simple but generous man that exemplified what it meant to be selfless and hard-working,” I was reminded of an adaptation of a reading from the Book of Sirach.

“Let us praise an illustrious man,
	faithful to his family and friends, strong in his love.
At peace in his heart and his world,
	he has left us his good name, and we recount his life of praiseworthy deeds.
A generous man his good works will never be forgotten.

Kathy, may you be comforted in the good memories you made together.  I worked for Tim in the RWS Canadian office for 5 years.  Tim was a wonderful person and much loved by all.  His untimely passing has shocked us all.  We pray God gives you all the grace to bear your loss.  I will offer a mass for the soul of dear Tim.  May he rest in eternal peace. 

So sorry to hear about Tim’s passing. My schedule prevents me from attending his services. To Kath and family: Tim is one of my faves. So fierce in his love for his family! My sincere condolences to the Dunne family.  I am very saddened by the news of his passing. Tim was my boss for 12 years and I learned so much from him from managing a team to maintaining a good work-life balance. He was such a charismatic and positive person and a great mentor! I have told this story so many times…but my favorite memory of Tim is seeing him in his favorite spot at his house on Webford.  
I would often walk past the house and when I looked up, there was Tim, perched on the window sill, (sometimes) a Miller Lite in hand and watching the tv (the White Sox or Bears or any sport!). So when Kathy and Tim moved out of the neighborhood, it took me awhile to get used to him not being in his spot. But I still always look up and expect to see him perched on his sill. That’s his spot. That will always be his spot. And when I pass it, I will always think of him and smile.   He will be missed.  RIP Tim Dunne ❤️

O Captain! My Captain!
My family and I have been extremely fortunate and blessed to be friends and neighbors to Tim and Kathy for the past 21 years.
From the first time I met Tim, we became friends. Tim was the go-to guy for any questions on most any topic. He was a mentor, the team captain, the seasoned veteran, who kept teaching from his own life experiences. I will miss all our conversations and discussions and of course a few teeth cracking cold beers.
Good friends are hard to find. Losing them is harder.

I'm so very sorry that Tim is no longer here. I worked with him several years ago. He also worked with my father and would always ask to check up on me over the years. I will always remember his mentorship and his support... how much he cared. 
He will always be in our thoughts and will be missed tremendously. 

Tim was really supportive of his people at work while I was an employee there. He was a boss everyone looked up to. When he left for a bit, things turned drastically dreary without his upbeat attitude to set the reassuring tone. He will be missed by many. He was iconic.

I met Tim and Kathy when our daughters started preschool together and that turned into a 23 year friendship. Tim not only became a very good friend to me but a great mentor of life. Very sorry to hear about Tim. Other than a Sox fan😀he was an awesome person. We worked together in the late 80’s. I never met someone who was so happy and positive all the time. He was a great soul.

My condolences to the Dunne family for their loss of Tim. I met Tim during our employment at Ryan/Aon.  I found him to be a well respected leader of his department, who always had time to answer my questions and provide me with valuable insight of the business.  We had a common denominator in that, our sons were both involved in youth hockey albeit different venues, and had many a conversation about the sport. I would often see him at ice rinks. He had a great sense of humor, loved a good joke and had many of his own to share for a laugh. Rest in Peace Tim! Good people are taken away too soon.

Tim was my boss for many years when I worked for Ryan Warranty in the Canadian office....he was an amazing human being, I'll always remember his kind and helpful ways.  I also remember a time when he first heard of Ketchup Potato Chips...his staff in the Chicago office would always ask him to bring some back whenever he came to the Office in Canada...I think he thought we were all strange.. lol not sure if he ever did try them. Dear Kathy and Family,

I had the pleasure of working for Tim at Aon for several years. I admired his working style and the lessons he taught us (whether good or bad (not telling us when he wasn’t coming into work 😊)). I would run into Tim at basketball games (his daughter and my daughter both played the game). The one time I was in total shock to run into Tim was on vacation out East one year. We had both traveled east (I don’t remember what states we went to) with our prospective families. On our return home we stopped in a town (the name long forgotten) and tried to get a hotel room. We both stopped at separate hotels, which were fully booked. The hotel staff at each hotel directed our families to another hotel. Once we got settled, we went to the pool. I hear my name being called and I turn around and it was Tim with his family. I can’t tell you how surprised I was! It’s a small world. Rest in peace Tim. Kathy, my prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Sending my condolences to Tim’s family. We worked together at TWG and he made an impact on me by recognizing my skills and encouraging me to grow my career at the company. I’m very sorry for your loss.

One of my favorite memories of Tim ( and there are many) was when his brother Mike and I decided to go fishing out on the Big Lake and Tim and Brian decided to stay back for good reason, but I thought the fish were calling. Mike and I returned about 45 minutes later after being caught in a freezing torrential downpour soaked through to the bone WITHOUT any fish. I can still hear Tim's laugh. Tim was the best.

I haven’t seen Tim in over 10 years.  I met Tim when our boys were playing hockey at Notre Dame High School in the mid 2000s.  We immediately hit it off and watched every game together.  We always had fun and shared many laughs.   For me the great thing about Tim was that he was always able to keep me in line and calm me down as I was the excitable and vocal type.   He really was that voice of reason for me and I’ll always be grateful for that.  

RIP Tim.  You will be greatly missed.  

Sad news for a respected colleague and friend. We all started our careers at Ryan Warranty Services together at 222 in the early 1980's. If a process needed to be developed or a policy created, all of us were in the loop including Tim. I shared the office next to him at 5050 multiple times. He was well liked and respected not only his peers but by his subordinates. He was a strong supporter of his college and spoke highly of his times in the small Wisconsin town. In a time where many bosses and peers are not always thought of highly, I am not aware of anyone who had anything less than positive to say about Tim.  My condolences to his family. We can appreciate your sadness and loss. This memo is to share our feelings that also reflect your loss of a man who left us making the world a better place. God's Peace TJD... 

Tim was one of my "bosses" at The Warranty Group however was much more of a Mentor.  Tim spoke of his family often and I think it’s his experience as a father that made him so affective as a leader and mentor.  He always showed he cared and provided honest feedback/advice often with wit and humor reminding you that mistakes happen, learn from them; don’t let them cripple you.  I always admired the way he advocated for us and would go out of his way to open doors for those he saw potential in. . . . and he saw potential in everyone.  At the end of the day Tim is a great example of what a corporate leader could and should be.  Unfortunately, I didn’t have a chance to thank him for the impact he had on my professional life.  Thank you, Tim, for so much. I wish we could have had a beer together one last time.  I’d also like to thank Tim’s family for sharing him with us and my condolences to you.  Tim was one in a million.

My friendship with Tim began back in the mid 80's, when I joined the Ryan Group at 5050 Broadway and we became new supervisors together.  This forged a friendship that spanned over 30 years. Over the years, we shared many lunches and after work "training sessions" where we helped each other through unique situations.  Tim's no-nonsense, straight forward and non-sugar coated approach was usually spot on.  I will miss my friend.
