Valentina Slapina

Valentina was born in Russia and spent many years living in Latvia before moving to the United States later in life. She graduated from Riga Medical College and worked as a Cancer laboratory assistant in a hospital, where she dedicated herself to helping others.

Throughout her life, Valentina developed a deep interest in natural health and wellness. She received various awards and recognitions for her work and dedication in the field of natural health treatments, which became an important part of her life.

Valentina had a passion for photography and greatly enjoyed traveling. She will be best remembered for her vibrant spirit, active lifestyle, warm personality, and love of socializing with family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her stepdaughter, grandchildren, sisters, lovely niece, extended family, and many dear friends.

Visitation and Memorial Service will be held September 21, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL.

A Funeral Service will take place September 30, 2026 at 9:00 am at Ridgewood Memorial Park, 9900 N. Milwaukee Ave., Des Plaines, followed by an inurnment at 10:00. Please meet at the cemetery.
