Veronica is survived by her husband, Stephen Gaal, her children, Antonio (Veronica) and Paul Vasquez, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two sisters, and one brother.
Born in Chicago on October 2, 1953, Veronica eventually became an administrative assistant at Deloitte. She found great fulfillment in her work and truly loved her job and colleagues. She cared deeply for her loved ones and spent much of her time with friends, family, and her beloved dogs. Veronica also enjoyed quiet moments spent reading. She will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Visitation to take place from 4pm to 8pm on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines. Funeral Service 9:30am on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the funeral home.
