In high school back in the 1980's I belonged to Hamilton's artillery. Tim Nosal talked me into joining. I had a lot of fun learning about colonial artillery tactics from Bill. I am sorry to hear about Bill's passing and wish the Hess family all the best.

All the best,
Kevin Braun

I always remember how friendly and kind Bill has been to me over the years. Always ready with a smile, a hug, a helping hand and a very often, a cold beer. Totally enjoyed being in his company and Marilyn's. Will really miss seeing him at every event. I am so very sorry, and deeply regret that I never made it up to see him in the hospital , or offer a back rub. So much love and prayers to send to Marilyn, Tim, Chris, Kerry, Ian, and all who love and miss him.

It saddens me that I will never seen Bill again. I can only hope that my actions on behalf of reenacting would please him knowing that he helped inspire them!

Like a father to me, someone I could always count on to be there when I needed him---I truly believe that divine intervention led me to live next door to him and Marilyn. Rest in peace Bill.

Pa Hess was my "camp daddy" and a dear friend of my family. I will miss his hugs, his smile, and his wit, but mostly I will simply miss his presence. Pa was larger than life and I esteemed him greatly. Rest in peace dear Pa...until we meet again.

Ma, Timmy, Chris, Kerry and Ian, much love to you.
