

She is preceded in death by her husband, the late Onofre R. Saldana, and her siblings, the late Erlinda (Artemio) Andres, Leticia (Mario) Miranda, and Elnora Relucio. Zoraida leaves behind her children, Adrian (Jenny) Saldana and Eric Saldana; her grandchildren, Ava, Zoe, and Ian Saldana; her siblings Edmundo (Marizon) Relucio, Corazon (Jaime) Sopena, and Preciosa Relucio; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Zoraida was born in the Philippines on May 23rd, 1943. She later emigrated to the United States, settling down with her family and beginning a career as an EKG technician. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and she led a vibrant social life. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing, cooking, gardening, and photography. Zoraida also loved fashion and truly understood the power of a great outfit. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 20th, 2026 at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 21st, 2026 at Saint Alphonsus Liguori Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Zoraida’s honor may be made to Catholic Charities of Chicago.
